8th Annual Penn Commercial Golf Scramble is a huge success!

Penn Commercial hosted it's 8th Annual Appreciation Golf Scramble on Friday, July 25th at Lindenwood Golf Club, McMurray, PA. The event drew over 60 counselors, administrators, and teachers from high schools throughout PA, WV and OH. This event is Penn Commercial's way of showing their appreciation to area high school administrators, counselors, and teachers for everything that they have done for our youth and for Penn Commercial during the past school year.

The day began with the golfers enjoying a light breakfast and complimentary chair massages courtesy of Penn Commercial Massage Therapy students prior to the shotgun start. The teams enjoyed 18 holes of competitive golf and then returned to the Lindenwood Banquet Hall to gather for dinner and the awards ceremony compliments of Penn Commercial.

Penn Commercial endured all general outing expenses, donated the Grand Prize of a $500.00 Gift Certificate to Oglebay Resort and provided Chinese Auctions items to include Penn Commercial Memorabilia and gift certificates for 25-minute Massages and Hair-cut/Styles compliments of the Penn Commercial Cosmetology and Massage Therapy Programs.

penn Commercial's "biggest loser competition" results

Penn Commercial recently hosted it's own "Biggest Loser Competition". The kickoff began on April 1, 2008 with a series of health conscious events for students, faculty and staff.

After two months of competition, the results are in. The overall biggest loser winner is Penn Commercial student, Danielle Behrendt. Danielle lost an amazing 42.4 lbs during the competition.

Thanks to the competition, Penn Commercial is now 349.2 lbs healthier!!

PENN COMMERCIAL CAREER & COLLEGE FAIR PRESS RELEASE

"Mr. Froggy got the royal treatment by the Penn Commercial Massage Therapy Students."

Penn Commercial hosted its annual Career & College fair on Friday, April 18.  The event drew over 514 job and college seekers by offering access to 74 employer booths and college resources.

The fair provided the opportunity for local employers and post-secondary schools to educate area job seekers including: high school students, Penn Commercial and other local college students, and members of the community, on careers in the business, medical and technical fields.  The Fair also included free food and chances to win great raffle prizes.  Froggy 103 provided a Live Action Broadcast and entertained participants with their Free Money Birthday Wheel along with other promotional give-a-ways.  The event was a great success and many participating vendors are already looking forward to next year.

Lauren Urso from Brooke High School in Wellsburg, West Virginia and Brandy Riggs from Washington High School in Washington, Pennsylvania are the recipients of Penn Commercial's "Get Pampered For The Prom" promotion.

The girls and two of their guests will receive the following services courtesy of Penn Commercial on the date of their prom: Massage (20min), Pedicure, Manicure, Updo and Make-Up.

Penn Commercial has accepted and recognizes Jordan Fox as the recipient of the Imagine America Military Awards Program Scholarship for the March 31, 2008 class session.  Jordan is a resident of Pittsburgh, PA and is currently enrolled in the Electrician Program at Penn Commercial.  His anticipated graduation date is December of 2008.  When asked about why he chose Penn Commercial and his career aspirations, Jordan stated, “After being wounded in Iraq and discharged from the US Army I decided that I needed to go back to school and I chose Penn Commercial because of its small class sizes and great location. The education that I will receive here is going to put me on the path to success as I plan on having my own electrical company within the next 10 years. Without the help of Shannon Rutan and Corie Clutter this future would not be possible and it was great having their help during the admissions process.” Please join us in congratulating Jordan on his accomplishment.

Penn Commercial has accepted and recognizes Joe Leyh as the recipient of the Imagine America Military Awards Program Scholarship for the March 31, 2008 class session.  Joe is a resident of McMurray, PA and is currently enrolled in the HVAC Program at Penn Commercial.  His anticipated graduation date is September 2009.  When asked about his career aspirations, Joe stated, “Upon graduation, I plan to find employment with a company in the state of Florida.  Long term I’d like to start my own HVAC business.” Please join us in congratulating Joe on his accomplishment.
